Teepee Village | Montana

Monday, November 24, 2014

You know that feeling when you've been planted by a campfire for a few hours and know you should head to bed, but can't move yourself because you know how cold it's going to be in the tent? Well, sleeping in a teepee completely solved that problem. Imagine falling asleep on the ground of a teepee with a fire a few feet from your face.  It was better than what I imagined, and I'm glad this foggy teepee village in Montana was my first time sleeping in a teepee.

Another highlight of this day—meeting and hanging with Ryan of @cruiserlifestyle, who was an Instagram friend until this point. We had Ryan and his boy over and they helped us start a fire and make some fire roasted popcorn in our teepee! Such fancy hosts, we are.

We arrived to a very foggy and misty teepee village. Every blade of grass was heavy with water droplets. I couldn't wait to get a fire started inside.

It doesn't look like it, but this fire is actually inside our teepee, which was surprisingly spacious and well lit.

Making popcorn on the fire in our teepee!

Saying goodbye to Ryan and his boy before they took off for the night.

The teepees looked incredible at night, lit up by the fires inside each one.

Heating up leftover pizza for dinner. So good.

The fog lifted and the clouds started to break up so we could see the stars.

Some scenes inside the lodge on the property where we had bathrooms, a lounge area, tea, etc.

Quite a different scene from when we arrived the day before.
