All the places we've checked (since Thailand) take at least a week or more for servicing and we've been moving around too quickly. I'm sure we'll figure something out shortly. Or we'll go home... Just kidding.

Ebee- We have laptops and a couple of external hard drives on which we backup all our photos. Using your iPod is a really good idea, I actually hadn't thought of that! Make sure before you go that you will have enough memory space on the iPod for a ton of photos. You can also get a portable hard drive card reader (google it) that takes the photos right off your memory card and some even have small LCD screens to view your photos. But the hard drive can get stolen just like the camera can. It's a risk we all take when traveling.Julia and Yuriyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06286843668985222963noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7411534696856853833.post-54534375298154446782011-02-04T14:53:24.411-08:002011-02-04T14:53:24.411-08:00ahh, no way. that stinks! are you able to find som...ahh, no way. that stinks! are you able to find somewhere to get it fixed?janishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00768866530748861670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7411534696856853833.post-44837575573150731092011-02-04T07:47:28.178-08:002011-02-04T07:47:28.178-08:00Oh no, I'm sorry about your camera. On that note, ...I'm so sorry about your camera!
On that note, I was wondering if I could be cheeky and ask a question/some advice about backing-up photos while travelling. I'm about to go away for a (much shorter) little back-packing excursion and I am nervous about having no method of backing up my photos...I'm scared that my camera will get stolen, taking with it all the photos on my memory card, or, if I use multiple cards that they will get damaged somehow. I won't be taking a laptop with me and I don't want to rely on online services but I do want to make a second copy of my photos on a regular basis. I have bought a device that connects my camera to my iPod but I wondered what your method of backing-up is while you are travelling?
Thanks very much and I hope you get your camera fixed soon. I read your blog almost every day and your photos are amazing!EBeenoreply@blogger.com
