Trinidad, Cuba II

Wednesday, May 1, 2013

We loved walking the streets of Trinidad. It was so nice to see people sitting outside their doors, kids playing 'futbol' in the streets, women knitting on rocker chairs and old men playing dominoes. I really wish we knew Spanish so we could chat with the locals. These people live in very tough conditions with Fidel as their dictator, but they are some of the happiest and warmest people. I loved our walks through the streets of Trinidad.

  1. 1. I cant get enough of these pictures of Cuba. You're making me want to go, as well as fall in love with Cuba even though I've never been!
    2. You are an absolutely gorgeous couple! I love the first photo.
    3. What's up with the guy and the chicken? I love that shot (cock fighting?). Sooo intriguing!

    1. Amanda - Thanks for the sweet comment. I have no idea what's up with the chicken... he didn't speak English! I hope it wasn't cock fighting. His son was actually holding it but was too shy to take a photo so he took it and posed for us. :) - Julia

  7. I am Cuban, and your entire series has made my heart so so heavy. I love my country, I truly do and you managed to capture it's essence beautifully. If you ever plan on going back, travel down to Santiago de Cuba (where I am from!) it's beautiful and very colorful and lively ♥
